🌟 Why This DIY Is Decent: Adds soft texture and warmth to any room

Sound absorbs sound (welcome to silence!)

Any fabric of your choice, such as linen, velvet, cotton, or jute

Great for use as a headboard in a bedroom, reading nook, or accent wall

🧰 Materials You Will Require:

Materials Tools

MDF boards or plywood with their respective sizes cut out Staple gun or perhaps a strong adhesive spray

Foam 1″-2″ thick Heavy-duty scissors

Batting (optional, for extra-softness) Measuring tape

Fabric of your choice Level and pencil

Mounting hardware for walls or heavy-duty Velcro strips Utility knife

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instruction:

  1. Decide Panel Size & Layout

You can go with one giant panel (like your headboard wall) or multiple squares/rectangles that give more of a tiled effect.

Mark the wall and measure it to visualize where it will be situated.

  1. Foam and Base Cutting

Make the cuts to the MDF or plywood with the exact measurements you want.

Use a utility knife to cut your pieces of foam according to the panel.

  1. Layer It Up

The stacking order is foam, MDF, batting (optional), fabric.

Wrap fabric tight over the edges like a present.

  1. Secure It With Staples

Staple the fabric onto the backside using a staple gun.

Keep the fabric taut for a clean look, especially at the corners.

  1. Wall Mounting

For a cute temporary option, hang them with heavy-duty Velcro strips.

For a secure hold, attach a D-ring hanger or French cleat to the back of each panel.

  1. Play It Out

Do them in a symmetrical pattern to exude a clean modern vibe or mix sizes for a more artsy layout.

Mix fabrics, like velvet with linen, for a boutique hotel aesthetic.

💡 Where To Use It:

Headboard wall—avoid clunky bedframes.

Music-or-content-creation corner—from great acoustics due to noise dampening.

Nook at the window-somewhere to curl up with a book.

An accent wall-the simplest way for one side of your room to drip luxury.

🕒 Time & Budget:

Time: 1-2 hours (per panel)

Budget: ₹800-₹1500 (~$10-$20 per panel)

Skill: No skill, totally beginner-compatible.

🧠 Pro Tips:

Use velvet or suede to go luxe.

Hanging with an LED strip backlit behind each panel looks subtle yet glamorous.

If you’re renting, only use Velcro—no wall-issues but 100%-full effect.
