🔨 Step-by-step: Stencil Like a Pro

  1. Make ready the mat.

Clean it and lay it flat. Tape down the edges so it doesn’t shift while working.

  1. Secure the stencil.

Center it (or place how you want) and tape the edges tight.

  1. Paint!

Lightly dip brush in paint. Dab off excess and do a tappy-tap-tap across the stencil.

🔁 Multiple light coats > one heavy coat (no bleed-through!)

  1. Lift the stencil (carefully)

Gently peel back and admire the magic.

✨ Want more? Move and repeat the stencil for a full-pattern look.

  1. Let It Dry

Do not touch for 2-3 hours. If using outdoors, spray to seal.

Tips:

Thick stencils will produce the best results in your projects.

Select high-contrast paint to have improved drama in your project.

Always test on scrap fabric or a cardboard.

Be sure to clean your stencil after each use.

Do not hurry-patience is good at producing results.

Personalize from this: Add tassels or painted edges for flair; Create a custom message of welcome; Paint a design that matches the design on your pillow covers or curtains. Think about stenciling a collection of mats for kitchen, hallway, and entry designs.

These things are certainly not craft; they can turn out to be a complete mood change in your house because you infused personality into the floor and added charm to the space.
