Luxe Revival: Celeste Hamilton’s Latest Home Collection Channels the Golden Era of Glamour

To the great designer and lifestyle visionary Celeste Hamilton, home decor is not merely aesthetics; rather it is even more an indication of self. Three years ago, she partnered exclusively with Luxe Living Interiors to create a custom furniture collection and curated an environment that achieved harmonious contemporary comfort and nostalgic grandeur. Now, this collection has matured into a beautiful loft in the Gold Coast of Chicago, where she presents her recent work with Luxe Living Interiors-an evolution that has had subtle refinements compared to her earlier work. In her words, that is "more polished, more deliberate-steeped in heritage yet tailored for modern living."

Her inspiration for this collection is also deeply entrenched in the decadent Art deco, a love affair she developed while traveling to Buenos Aires and Milan. Her latest line easily exposes that influence in a celebration of that movement’s hallmark opulence, featuring sculptural silhouettes, unrivaled craftsmanship, and a decidedly deep jewel tone palette. “My first collection was about embracing curves and organic forms from the mid-century era,” Hamilton declares to HomeStyle Essence. “This time, however, I moved into the 1920s and 1930s, inspired by the refinement of symmetrical elegance and bold materiality of Art Deco.”

Furnitures included in that collection are some of the most gorgeous pieces-such as intricately carved marble chandeliers, high-pitched geometric coffee tables, sculptural ceramic candleholders, and a sumptuous velvet chaise that begs for lounging. Each piece is the voice of Hamilton’s trademark blend of natural elements with high glamor-alluded by the luxurious materials of burled walnut, travertine, and frosted glass.

A Nod to the Past, A Vision for the Future

It is anchoring Hamilton’s approach to design in the belief that great design should inspire and yet be accessible to an audience. It is these newest offerings that contain inspired reworks of top-selling items from the past, given contemporary interpretations in bolder colors and finer finishes. “It was also about honoring what rang true-to-people while pushing the aesthetic forward,” Mendoza says, creative director at Luxe Living Interiors. One such example is the reinvented Olympia Side Table, which was initially a best-selling mahogany piece and is now offered in an antique brass finished polished aluminum version. “We kept the integrity of the shape but gave it a fresh, luminous identity,” Hamilton explains.

Perhaps the most inviting feature is the former Milanese Lounge Chair now draped in rich emerald green velvet. Additionally, Moreno adds, “People fell in love with the comfort and structure of this chair, so we kept that essence intact while adding a color that feels inherently timeless yet undeniably fresh.”

Where Classic Meets Contemporary

Hamilton’s rich inheritance of vintage opulence meets with modern sensibilities in her manifestation. The background for the collection-an Art Deco mansion in Miami-is the ideal setting for its introduction. The contrast of stunning terrazzo floors and gold accents brings to mind an architect’s legendary past, whose talent shaped the city’s architectural horizon back in the 1930s. “I wanted to shoot in a space that resonates with the very essence of this collection-history, grandeur, and artistry,” Hamilton shares. “I mean, Miami’s Art Deco legacy is just unparalleled, and it felt like the perfect marriage of inspiration and presentation.”

That mindful joining of the traditional and the modern has gone into the entire process of manufacture. Luxe Living Interiors pursues its goal of ethical sourcing and artisanal craftsmanship for a large part of its creations, which are made in northern Italy. Italy itself is famed for a strong tradition in woodworking craftsmanship. “Every piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans who’ve spent generations mastering their craft,” says Hamilton. “And there’s something incredibly special about knowing that a piece carries not just beauty, but also a story.”

Bringing Glamour Home

For anyone wishing to bring a small piece of Hamilton’s signature aesthetic into their own homes, Moreno offers this fundamental critical directing light: embrace the glamour but make it livable. “That misconception next to beautiful designed furniture is that it is meant for adoration, not on use,” she says. “But Celeste’s philosophy revolves around life inside spaces- be it curled up in a velvet armchair with a book or gathering friends around a sculptural dining table.”

Indeed, the Grand Palais Dining Table, a combination of introduced marble and walnut, is one of the most stunning pieces in the collection. It brings together functionality and statement. “It’s meant to be dined at, spilled on, and lived with,” Hamilton insists. “Luxury shouldn’t be untouchable-it should enhance everyday moments.”

Lasting Impression

The collection that Hamilton designed for Luxe Living Interiors is more than just furniture. It becomes a celebration of timeless artistry with contemporary relevance. Whether it is the lusciously alabaster pendant lamps, the reinvented burl wood cabinets, or the plush seating that one cannot resist, all these items invite people to indulge in beauty without sacrificing comfort.

And as Hamilton continues to redefine modern elegance, one thing that can remain clear is that great design is not about luxury-it is about leaving a legacy. And this collection will help her achieve that goal.
