Odyssey Through Time
Heritage Reimagined brought Laurent journeying from the palaces of the ancient Rajasthan all the way to the great architectural monuments of the Ottoman Empire. The collection shows pieces that would highlight its harmony with the modern life, how intricately carved woods, hand-woven textiles, and many-hundreds-of-years-old ceramics could be. “I wanted to show history is not something we leave behind,” Laurent explains. “It is something we carry forward, giving it new meaning.”

Heart of Craftsmanship
Artisans are at the heart of the collection. It’s among keepers of old knowledge handed down through generations for continuing the art of practice in spite of the synthetic production parallel. For instance, some of this would be the personally hand-painted porcelain tiles that are based on 17th-century Andalusian patterns made by a very small family workshop in Seville. One more important part is Persian silk rugs woven by hands with techniques launched back to the times of the Safavid dynasty.
“The territory of luxury lies not only in the product but also in the hands that create it,” muses Laurent and adds, “When you bring these pieces into your home, you are bringing in history, culture, and a legacy of craftsmanship.”

Bringing the Old to the New
Heritage Reimagined is a completely contemporary design that, while remaining deeply historical, can equally easily fit into modern-day interiors. The oak dining table: constructed using traditional Japanese joinery methods-an ancient custom where nails or screws are not required, hence the durability and beauty. Likewise-profile Moroccan zellige tiles, handcut and glazed in brilliant color-are now reinterpreted as slim, minimalist wall installations.
“Timelessness is my goal,” Laurent has said. “With these ingredients, any interior feels a little soul: be it a penthouse in New York or a country hideaway in Provence.”
A Cultural Connection
It is increasingly prevalent that luxury homes are being personalized, and it is through that where the deep cultural artifacts have come to be embraced. Whether a tapestry hand-embroidered by an Indian craftsman or a piece of bespoke Italian marquetry cabinet tells a story-one that pleads with time beyond trends.
Laurent perceives it as something more than an aesthetic flick. “It’s about authenticity,” she informs. “They’re yearning pretty much for real. They want a connection to something genuine, something with history beyond their own lifetime.”

The Future of Heritage Design
Cultural craftsmanship is increasingly assuring high-end interiors through the likes of Laurent busying itself with sustainable luxury. By backing master artisans and the craft that they’ve preserved through their time-honored technique, the industry is not only preserving entire blocks of knowledge, but also reviving relevance to such ancient traditions in the modern context.
Whether it is a Venetian glass chandelier or a hand-carved African mahogany sideboard, Heritage Reimagined stands to remind that true luxury is not just beauty, but honor to the stories behind it.
